Puerto Rican Parade & Expo 2011

The Democratic Hispanic Caucus of Florida was among those who had the assigned booths at the Silver Spurs Arena/ Heritage Park; to participate on the Puerto Rican Parade & Expo both today and tomorrow, Sunday, July 24, 2011, where we are to have the parade starting at 11AM. Those that will be part of the parade are expected to report bright and early at 10AM.  We spent time spreading the word, informing those of our DHCF chapter and most importantly instill those to register to vote. The ambiance was full of great company and delicious Spanish cuisine; "los bacalaitos were to die for." The room was full of that sexy latin music which at times we could not contain ourselves and join in on the Salsa or Bachata dance that was playing at the time. Our table had a steady influx of individuals that were wanting to know more about us and what we stand for. Our table was occupied by Mr. Jose Fernandez, Miguel Lopez, Julie Garcia, John Cortes, Caridad Cortes, Armando Ramirez, Millie Ramirez and other members of the DHCF to name a few. We had the commissioner of the City of Kissimmee; Mike Hartford. In overall, todays event was a tremendous success, stay tuned tomorrow and read about the Puerto Rican Parade.
