The Puerto Rican Day Parade 2011

This morning we all gathered as participants of the Puerto Rican Day Parade. We celebrated the culture with its richness and with our pride. The day started out with the temperatures steaming hot. The weather did not stop us from being a part of this event. Our determination and our spirit was shown through out, as we marched. The music, the singing and the cheering from those in our community as they called out to us, " Que Viva Puerto Rico and us doing the same by chanting Obama's name, "Obama, Obama, Obama!"  Our march began on Bill Beck Blvd towards Boggy Creek and finishing off as we arrived back to Heritage Park/ Silver Spurs Arena. The crowd showed us their welcome, their love by cheering us on and us by waving back at them. The members of the Democratic Hispanic Caucus of Florida was beaming with pride. It was a great day!
