This evening was full of anticipation and wonder as to who will be voted into our new executive board. Let me tell you up front that we have unique individuals who are passionate about our community and are willing to go the distance for change; this evening showed this to be true. A genuine desire to be part in making a difference reflected on the candidates of the new executive board. The future will reveal the changes that will come. It takes but a few to participate, so, in the long run growth will occur for representation and progress for all people. Remember, our children learn by example...not just to talk a good game. We know all too well that talk does not go far. We must walk the walk not just talk the talk. You may be asking yourselves why is this being said? Our revelation of this year is change, that we as people have been working to strive for. There will be equal representation for all individuals, not just for a chosen few.

Esta noche estaba llena de expectación y asombro en cuanto a quién será votada en nuestra nueva junta directiva. Déjeme decirle de entrada que tenemos individuos únicos que son apasionados de nuestra comunidad y están dispuestos a llegar hasta el final para el cambio, esta noche demostró que esto es cierto. Un genuino deseo de ser parte en la toma de una diferencia que se refleja en los candidatos de la nueva junta directiva. El futuro revelará los cambios que se avecinan. Se tarda sólo unos pocos a participar, por lo que, en el crecimiento a largo plazo se producirán para la representación y el progreso para todos. Recuerde que nuestros hijos aprenden con el ejemplo ... no sólo hablar de un buen juego. Sabemos muy bien que hablar no ir muy lejos. Debemos recorrer el camino no sólo hablar el idioma. Es posible que se pregunten ¿por qué se dijo? Nuestra revelación de este año es el cambio, que la gente ha estado trabajando para luchar. Habrá una representación igualitaria para todas las personas, no sólo para unos pocos elegidos.
Thank you Caridad for your excellent job. It will be good if you write something about The State of the Union speech. That speech is sending a clear message of that we may expect from Obama, a president of all offering opportunity for everybody and not just for the privileged wealthy people. This is that we expect from all our hispanic candidates in the race.
